Father's Day

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!

This Father's Day was fun, because my Dad was actually here! They came to our ward and saw Aubree sing in the program (which was her first time EVER)

My Mom and I set this up as soon as the boys went to bed Saturday night. The left side, for my Dad....and the right side for Dave.
I printed off this cute banner, I just love it.
I had my very talented sister take the girls 2 and 4 yr. portraits secretly. I have been D.Y.I.N.G to share them, because they turned out just BEAUTIFUL....but I had to wait until now since Dave and my Dad read the blog :) So for Father's Day they all got copies...except the copies didn't come in time, but thankfully Carlee had these two printed off early, so I could at least display them as a "soon to be present".
For my Dad...
I printed off this cute printable that reminded me of my Dad, and framed it. Then I printed off these super cute retro soda labels,
In honor of his "Case of Pop"
For Dave.....
I printed off this cute printable for Dave, and framed it. Then I got him a bag of tee's and spruced it up a little. His real present (besides the secret pictures) is a golf trip to St. George, so this was just kind of a reminder :)

After church we went up to a big BBQ at my Granni's house. We celebrated the thousand birthday's we have in the month of June, and of course Father's Day. It was a fun day.

Country Fest

Later that night we decided we would continue the birthday celebrations by going to Country Fest. Randomly the band playing has a member that is my parent's friend from Tennessee....so that made it even more fun! The girls of course had a hay day, this is the first time we've been to a carnival with them....

They love carousels, which they call "pony ride"

I was really surprised that we only went on it once!
They went on lots of rides, but their favorite was the big potato sack slide. It was super fast, and even made my stomach drop a little. But they just LOVED it and went on it over and over.

And then hung out with Grumps while all the "cool" adults went on a ride together. (Sorry Dad)
My mom and I went on the "plane" ride. And almost threw up, literally....It took me a good hour after being home for my stomach to stop crawling. Am I getting old or was it really too much? I hope for the latter, because I LOVE rides, and I would be so sad if my stupid body disagreed....

On the way back to the car this cute couple had two fishes, and wanted to give one to the girls. Aubree was so happy.
On the car ride home we heard this from the back seat "I took the fish out of the water, and I'm squishing him.'' Sure enough I looked back and the poor fish was between her fingers, being lightly squished. Apparently he was "bubbled". I took him back and held him (in his water of course) for the rest of the ride. He made it....but who knows what's going on inside...
All in all it was a good time.

My Mom's Birthday

My Mom is here for her birthday, and it is so fun...two years in a row! This year her birthday was a little more low key, :) but still fun. My Dad and I set up this "station"for her while she was out shopping (little did my Dad know, it wasn't for herself, but for him for Father's Day!)

Complete with ballons, presents and a birthday banner.

My Dad got her (among other things...) this delicious cupcake from Cutlers, snickerdoodle. It was heavenly.
Happy Birthday Mom!

Oh, the drama.

When it rains, it pours!
First though HAPPY BIRTHDAY SIS!
So today was a bit traumatic for E.V.E.R.Y.O.N.E....where to start? Well for a little background on the day, I was sick, had been since Saturday and still feeling pretty crappy. Husband wakes up to yet another day of sick wife and having to take care of the children. My family is in town, and since being sick I haven't been able to have the house clean and ready for their arrival....so we wake up...I'm tired, ornery, sick, and Aubree come in to snuggle with me. Shortly after, throws up all over me, her, blankets, sheets....soaks through ALL the three layers...and Dave was gone at the gym. Thankfully my Mom took charge. After that was taken care of I tried to rest a little cause I knew that was not the last of it. Dave gets home, My sis and her husband come over to hang out and make plans for her birthday...and she get one of her endometriosis attacks...a BAD one. On her birthday :( While all this is going on, the toilet up in the girls bathroom (which happens to be the "guest" bathroom also) is still clogged from last night, and Dave can't get it to do anything, so it is off limits. The girls had been flushing their toys down the toilet a few days ago, and as hard as Dave tried....couldn't get it out, or down. He took off to Home Depot or Lowe's....and came back with a fancy tool. My Dad and him tried for another hour-ish with no luck...by this time the girls were in bed, for their nap...Cha, Eric, and Ben had left to have a little more fun (her med's kicked in and she could now stand up-right) and the rest of us were taking a break, watching True Grit. After the girls woke up, my Dad and Dave took off the toilet, and worked on it for another hour-ish....until POP! Out comes Sleeping Beauty! Sheesh. Aubree was very aware of the drama she had caused by her little stunt of flushing toys, and she felt really bad...hopefully bad enough to NEVER do it again! We'll see. So then off to the store again to buy items to correctly put the toilet back...and they brought me arm-fulls of nasty, poopy, toilety, towels to wash, along with all the throw up laundry. And a bucket full of toys to disinfect...It FINALLY was finished around 7:00 p.m. and poor Dave had literally been up to his elbows in poo all day long, while I was up to my elbows in throw up, and trying to take care of children while being sick. It was a blessing that my family was here when all this happened. I can't have imagined trying to do it all by our selves...hopefully a better day tomorrow.

A BBQ

We went to a BBQ at our friends, The Coles. They are our good friends from our old ward in Kaysville. We will never loose touch with them since they are our people :) But we don't get together as often as we'd like. It was fun to go back, see some familiar faces, and meet new friends from the ward.

Aubree and Sophie found this cooler, and decided it would be a good place to rest.

Thanks for the great time!
