Halloween!!

We love Halloween. {like everyone} And it just gets more fun, being with my own family. Although Dave and I didn't dress up, we all had fun. The girls were ladybugs this year. And they looked too cute. It's hard getting a decent picture of two crazies...but hopefully you can tell.

On Halloween day, they had to wear white shirts under their costumes. Not as cute, but I figured the trade off of not getting sick would be worth it. It was POURING rain. Aubree was still very anxious to get out there.
Sophie found our basket of candy and was content to stay, we convinced her otherwise.
We got the stroller, {for some reason I thought if I kept the canopy up while they ran to the door, their seats would stay dry...not so much} and we were off. Luckily about 15 minuets into it, the rain slowed down to a trickle. They had a lot more fun. Although Aubree was being pretty funny. She started to decline candy at certain houses. WHAT?? What kid turns down candy? And it wasn't even because of the selection. If the house was scary, she didn't want any, or if it was a house she didn't want to go to..we tried to have a little chat with her that it's not nice to turn down candy when it is being given, for FREE. And she told us: "Well, sometimes I want candy and sometimes I don't. If I don't want candy I'm not going to take it." Okay then. Sophie ended up with about twice as much as Aubree..and she's enjoying every minuet. This is the face she pulled when I told her I wanted to get a picture of her! What a ham.
Halloween is the best. And hopefully their sugar high won't be too bad...

Funny girls

Iv'e been trying to figure out how to do Sophie's hair. I don't want to cut her bangs, but she won't wear clips, so she is forever having them in her eyes. This has been our current favorite hair-do. I need to work on my parting skills, but with a wiggly 19 month I think I did pretty well. And she looks so grown up with her hair pulled back.

I am in love with dressing them as twins lately. Every chance I get :)

Nothing beats morning hair!
Aubree informed me the other day that she wanted to have a picnic outside. It was a nice day, so we did it. The menu: mac and cheese, peanut butter sandwiches and hot chocolate. Her picks! And they LOVED it.
She fell asleep with her backpack on! Funny little thing.
Sophie is seriously EXPLODING with words. I can't keep up! Her new ones are:
Eye
Nose
Ear
Mouth
Bonk
Block
Yum
Mi-Mi (a song my Uncle introduced them to, that they can't get ENOUGH of!)
Pee-pee
Hot
Frog (which sounds very bad when she says it...)
Belle
Beast
Buzz
Shrek (Shwek)
Gone
Dirty
I do

She strings more words together now. She told me the other day "Baby pee-pee", since she refers to herself as baby she was letting me know that she just went in her diaper!

Pumpkin Patch

I LOVE fall. It's so full of memories, the start of yearly traditions, family time and of course the beautiful colors.

One of my favorite traditions is going to the pumpkin patch with my family. We went to this one last year and had a lot of fun, so we went back. Unfortunately the day that we went is one of the days they don't do hayrides! Oh well, we still had lots of fun.

Aubree was a lot more into finding her own pumpkin this year.

We tried to get cute family pictures...does that EVER happen? (But look at the gorgeous colors..I LOVE it.)

After we found the best pumpkins in the patch, we played. They have a mini corn maze for the kids. You can't get lost so it's not too scary.
Aubree LOVED it so much. She kept going back, but Sophie wanted to go on other adventures.
She kept climbing on things and wandering around.

We love the pumpkin patch.

We love you Dad.

Dave's been home sick for the past three days. The girls have loved having him here so much. They could sense that he wasn't well and wanted to snuggle ALL the time. He had to escape upstairs for the better part of the day(s) to actually get some rest and re coup. But any chance they had, they climbed on up.

It always seems that I snap pics' of the girls when they're still in their jammies. Crazy hair, not made up. But they're still cute. This was this morning. Aubree brought up our camping mat, and Sophie made her self a bed on the couch to watch her movie.

Conference weekend

When the boys go off to Priesthood the girls usually go out, shop, dine...and bring the boys home some food. Well, Dave's little sister moved to California a little while ago, and his older sister wasn't feeling well...so it was a quiet get together this time around. But just as much fun!
We ended up going to the South Towne Mall. It was remarkably not busy at all. It might be our new tradition. We got right in for dinner (at Pei Way) and had no problems walking around, navigating in stores. It was wonderful. And I didn't realize how fun this mall is. Even though I used to work there! It has a carousel, a bunch of coin operated rides, a fun center (pictured below) and a train that picks you up at the fun center and drives you around the mall.
Aubree playing.
And Soph.
The train. $3 a ride.
$9 of fun! Totally worth it.
Aubree thought this was the neatest thing. To ride a train inside. She was tickled pink.
With Grandma.
Sophie was having just as much fun.

A great night with the girls!!!!!
