Lady bug release

Every year in Daybreak, the community does a lady bug release. We hadn't been to it yet, and wanted to go this year. At the community gardens they release 600,000 lady bugs. They are EVERYWHERE and the kids LOVE it.

They weren't sure what all the hype was at first, and didn't know what to do...

But once they found the lady bugs, they had the time of their life. Here Aubree is holding one and showing Sophie.

There were buckets and buckets full of lady bugs. Special winners each got a bucket, and at the end of the countdown, they all released the lady bugs inside. It was really neat, and even though the girls were done after about 15 minuets. They loved it!

  1. I love ladybugs. I haven't seen one in years. I guess I need to make another visit up north. :)
